| Monthly Sales Report - December 2009 |

Hsinchu, Taiwan, January 8, 2010 ˇV Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation, today announced net sales of NT$ 1,005 million for December 2009, representing a 90.71% increase from NT$ 527 million of the same period last year. For the period of January to December 2009, accumulated net sales totaled NT$ 12,588 million.
VIS spokesperson Mr. Robert Hsieh said, ˇ§Due to the growth of wafer shipment, net sales for December increased around 4.5% compared with NT$ 962 million in November. Accumulated net sales for January to December 2009 decreased around 21.91% compared with NT$ 16,120 million for the same period last year.ˇ¨
VIS will hold an investor conference on January 29, 2010 to announce financial results for the fourth quarter of 2009.
