| Monthly Sales Report - December 2008 |

Hsinchu, Taiwan, January 8, 2009 - Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation today announced net sales of NT$ 527 million for December 2008, representing a 63.36% decrease from NT$ 1,438 million of the same month last year. For the period of January to December accumulated net sales totaled NT$ 16,120 million.
VIS spokesperson Mr. Robert Hsieh said, Ą§Due to less wafer shipment, net sales for December decreased around 42% compared with NT$ 910 million in November. Accumulated net sales for January to December 2008 rose 0.92% compared with NT$ 15,973 million for the same period last year.Ą¨
